Getting Started
After successfully installing Platinum Cut, you'll need to configure the software for first-time use. This process includes activating your license and setting up your cutting parameters.
Launch Platinum Cut Software
Start the Platinum Cutting Software using the desktop shortcut that was created during installation. The shortcut should be visible on your desktop with the Platinum Cut logo.
Tip: If you can't find the desktop shortcut, you can also launch the software from the Start Menu under "Platinum Cut".
Enter Your License Key
When you launch Platinum Cut for the first time, you'll be prompted to enter your license key. This activation is only required once.
Where to Find Your License Key
Demo License
If you registered for a demo, your license key was sent to your email address. Check your inbox for an email from Platinum Cut.
Purchased License
If you purchased a license, you received the license key directly from Platinum Cut support via email.
Important: Sometimes the license email may end up in your spam folder. Please check there if you haven't received it in your inbox.
Open Program Settings
After entering your license key and launching the software, navigate to the settings menu:

This will open the configuration panel where you'll set up all the important parameters for your cutting operations.

We recommend setting this to 300 cm as most cutting jobs don't exceed this length. Recommended: 300 cm
Select Your Cutting Plotter
Under Film Dimensions, you'll find the Cutting Plotter section with a dropdown list:

Regardless, we recommend setting the correct pressure and speed in both Platinum Cut and on your machine to ensure they're synchronized. If you want use only plotter control settings please adjust speed to 0 and force in 0 in our software. Software speed and force will then be deactivated.
