Automatic Afterfeed

The Afterfeed function is a workflow automation tool designed to streamline your cutting process. It allows you to preset exactly how much material the plotter should automatically advance (feed forward) once a cutting job is complete.

This eliminates the need to manually advance the material to reach the cutting groove, allowing you to slice off the finished film immediately and cleanly.

How to Configure Afterfeed

  • 1. Measure: Check your plotter to determine the distance from the cutting needle to the cutting groove/slot. This is the distance the material needs to travel so you can cut it off safely.
  • 2. Open Settings: In Platinum Cut, go to the top menu bar, select Settings, and then click on Program Settings.
  • 3. Set Distance: Scroll down to the Material Feed section. Enter your desired feed length (adjustable between 5 cm and 50 cm).
  • 4. Save: Click Save Settings to apply the changes.
Setup Complete: Platinum Cut has now calibrated the plotter with your Afterfeed preference. For all future jobs, the machine will automatically advance the material by the exact length you specified immediately after cutting finishes.
